In Implemented Projects, Projects

In 2011 we implemented the “Legal Assistance to Families Left Homless Because of a Disaster” project.

On October 5.2010 an outgoing session of the Commission (hereinafter the Commission) on the providing of houses (apartments) built within the framework of state-sponsored housing construction projects to solve housing problems of homeless families as a result of the earthquake in Armenia’s disaster zone.

During the session, the Commission made a Protocol # 20, with which was decided not to include 79 families in the list of people who are eligible to get a dwelling house built within the framework of the State Program of 2010.

After this decision was made, some of the citizens who were not included in the list, applied to our organization with a request for support.

After examining the cases of citizens, the organization found out that the complaints of these citizens were appropriate and many of them had the right to get a flat/ dwelling house.

The purpose of this project was to support the restoration of the rights of families left without registration in the list in violation of the law.

The objectives of the project were:

  • To examine the decisions made by the Commission on “Not being included in the list of families eligible for housing in Spitak town and neighboring rural communities “
  • To reveal decisions made in violation of law
  • Assist to restore the rights of families left without registration in the list.

At the end of the project, it was expected to assist at least 20 families in restoring their housing rights.
