On March 9, representatives of the “Spitak Helsinki Group” human rights NGO participated in a march organized by the “Coalition to Stop Violence against Women”. Coalition members and a group of activists prepared posters and marched from the central square of Gyumri to the Prosecutor’s Office, then they marched through the central streets of Gyumri to the school where the 13-year-old girl studied, to the district where the crime took place.

* A few days ago, a 43-year-old Marine was killed in Gyumri, as a result of a brutal beating. The woman’s life could have been saved had we not been indifferent to violence, noticed the bruises on her face, helped her when she had been lying at home with severe injuries for eight hours.
